The Life Goes On Foundation's website is under construction at the moment and will be updated frequently. In the meantime, let me take the time to explain briefly what The Life Goes On Foundation aims are.

The Life Goes On Foundation is a Scotland wide non-profit organisation that was launched on the 29th of June from the summit of Ben Nevis to provide ostomates new and old with a service that they may find benificial. The foundation aims to ease some of the aspects of living life as an ostomate and to provide a social network infrastucture for ostomy and internal pouch wearers in Scotland.

The climb of Ben Nevis to launch The Life Goes On Foundation was also a fundraising event to help fund the following projects.

To raise monies to publish an information diary that the foundation will distribute freely to all new ostomy/internal pouch patients within Scotland. From January the 1st 2009 we aim to have a comprehensive directory of all the help and advice that is out there to support ostomy patients through both pre-op and post-op life.

To provide free designer ostomy pouch covers to all those within Scotland who have vanity issues regarding surgery. We have a pouch cover manufacturing business on standby awaiting orders.( these pages will be uploaded shortly).

To provide free N.K.S keys that unlock all disabled toilets within the U.K

The Life goes On Foundation Ostomy Appeal pools together donated ostomy supplies and redistibutes them to those who have no access to medical aid, i.e the 3rd World, developing countries and areas of natural disaster and has links with an international relief aid organisation to provide the logistics of the operation
