Fiona Wallace Some days ---- honestly!!

Do some things just seem impossible some days? So here I am booked for a renal ultra sound. I am prepared although I have no bladder I drink 2 litres of water in preparation so I am well hydrated. Well as you can imagine by now my bag is filled to capacity and Iam praying that they are running on time as I keep having to drain it to avoid a waterfall. So twenty minutes later I get gowned up and on the table ready for action and in comes the radiologist nice enough guy takes one look and says "wh… Continue

Steve O'Donnell You know when you’ve just had one of those really weird days?

Ok , it’s now just after midnight on the day I had my colonoscopy and I’m still a little bit floaty from the Fentanyl I was given before my scope. (What is fentanyl? Fentanyl is an opiod pain medicine given to you as an alternative to sedation. ) And I’m sitting here thinking “dude you gotta write this down!” Right so I bowel prep for my colonoscopy yesterday using Picolax, took the first sachet at about 11am, not to concerned about wether or not the instructions state that you should take the… Continue

Steve O'Donnell A free spirit up for sale.

I quite like the odd dabble at writing poetry, especially when i feel a bit down. I wrote this poem a while ago and kinda found it again recently. At the time it made me quite sad at what i had just written, but thats the intention right?, get it down on paper, pour it all out. for me poems are good therapy. I decided to post this poem after reading another ostomates poems, one excellent writer and poet is a fellow user of this site actually. the emotion and honesty that pours out of the users w… Continue

Two weeks later on returning back from my partners home town in Italy I decided I was literally full of crap! and went… Continue
